European Union Backs Ghana Labour Exchange Programme, Citing NAYT Consult's Role in Ethical Migration

The European Union has thrown its support behind the newly launched Ghana Labour Exchange Programme, with EU representative Silvia Tizzi calling it a major opportunity for young Ghanaians seeking decent work abroad.

Speaking at the programme's launch, organized by Nayt Consult alongside the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment and the Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment, Ms. Tizzi said the initiative goes beyond job placement to focus on professional preparation, worker protection, and long-term career development. She noted the potential for Ghana to benefit through remittances, skills transfer, and national development as the programme grows.

Ms. Tizzi pointed to demographic shifts creating labour shortages across several sectors in Europe, a trend expected to continue, and stressed that migration on this scale calls for strong governance and ethical recruitment standards. She commended Ghana's leadership in building a well-regulated migration system and pledged the EU's continued support as the programme develops.
